Ok, everyone will talk and say, " oh yeah, mines the " best "
or fastest " or that the #'s say that this one will beat that one inthe 1/4 mile , etc.... What I am curious about is:

What are your real world exper on the road either from a stop light or on the highway. keeping it short:

off the line he'll take me for the 1st 1/8 mile , then at the
1/4 I'm passing him at 140-ish , then is we do a down shift
from say 100 , I'll pull him like he's in rev.

has anyone come across a busa or RC-51 ?

I raced a stock Busa with my stock 12 last summer. I was still getting used to the bike and the other rider was very experienced. I found that off the line he took me and pulled ahead about 3 lengths in first, in second it was holding even and 3rd was starting to reel him in. The road ended before I got past 3rd.
With more experience and a pipe, I don't think a Busa would be any concern, however my launching technique with the 12 sucks big wookie. LOL

Does a head to head with an R1 with me missing a gear, hitting neutral shifting back up and then catching up count?

How about when I got all excited racing an R1 and hit the rev limiter freeked out and then backed off 5 bike lengths only to catch back up again just in time to lock up the brakes before the road ended?

As you can see, I am not paid for my racing technique. LOL

You asked for it. here it is. A video I shot this last weekend where a ZX-12R races a Hayabusa and beats him. Both riders had good experience and both bikes were piped. The 12 is on the left while the busa is on the right. Sorry for the poor video quality but the camera was mounted on my tank. PS the 1/4 mile mark is marked. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/devil.gif ALT=":evil">

I've gone "head to head" with a stock blue busa ... once ... the other times the busa rider would run ... that was my and my buds impression. Maybe they had an appointment, maybe.

Anyways it was close but still no match for the 12.

He ( the blue busa) would always take off quicker but I was able to catch him and pass. This was on the express (we call them highways in Canada ) no street racing, this beast is to fast for street racing before you know it, I'll be part of a wall.

Oh, a yellow corvette Z06 tried to eat me up on the 401HWY. To his surprise he couldn't pass me. everytime he got a little bit ahead I would put my front tire passed his bumper. He didn't like that. LOL

He did put my bud to shame, my bud was on a ZX7R.

my friend's got a blue busa too and I regularly eat him up with only a gearing mod and y2k mods. Of course he's about 1/10th the experience and I wonder what he's doing on that thing...

I have had a couple experiences, One with a busa: the busa had full pipes and mine had a slip-on at the time (now upgraded to a full pipe) It was the first little race with one of the "big boys" and I was still not able to control the wheelies in first too well (still really can't keep them down) he took me in first about 3 bike lengths and then in second I started catching and when I hit third I was passing when the stop light changed to red ahead of us (ya...I know...racing downtown in the cities @ over 130MPH isn't bright but I couldn't say no!) The other experience with one of the big boys (RC51) was not even close enough to count. My buddy happens to be the owner and we do continuous roll-on's from different speeds and I wax him so bad on every different attempt it isn't even funny (he has stock pipes and I still had my slip-on). Raced many a Vette (most won't play with me) and they can't even compare....like someone else on here said, they really don't like thinking they are gaining on the 12 then I pull the front wheel up....and away I go. Done it a couple times and it really pisses most of them off, one guy got a smile out of it though! Anyway, Those are my only encounters (other than buddies on 600 & 750's) but they don't really count.

Ya know, that has to be the single BIGGEST thing I am hatin'
is that NOW its cooling down here in Dallas and i was looking
foward to a couple high speed runs up the tollway !

btw the NTTA has a pix of a " green " motorcycle going
through a toll booth in excess of 181mph... they have 5 friggin'
shots of the plate, just not legiable... sssshhhhh
