They need to keep it inline with the cost of the R1 and GSXR1000, but you never know, it does sound expensive.

But it will be a nice piece of equipment.

Is it me, or does that look like one of the early drafts for the ZX12R? I got a book about the 12 from Kawasaki in the mail a couple of months after I got my bike. As soon as I find the book I'll post the picture.

Looking at them carefully, the green bike has old styling cues. Notice the lack of the back seat, the boxy look of the "seat" cowl, the out-dated brake rotor and the four-pot brake. :?

The silver bike not only looks stunning (read: drool!), but all the visual cues are visceral and more inline with the design technology in place today.

I just don't know if it is a real photograph or a clever digital image. I hope its real. :)

There's some news in the newest Motorcyclist...

Also an artist's impression.

The article said that it will be of GSXR 1000 performance or better!! (lets hope - Kawi Don't let us down) Appearently Kawi is almost ready to release it on the unsuspecting public!!!! :D

I think the silver pic is fake, look closely at the height of the wrists compared to the latest ZX-6...

the position is way too much "touring-like" and would fit a ZZR 600 (ZX6) model better...

just my 2 cents...

althought the look of it is very stylish !

I agree. The silver one just looks like a dolled up 12 with the wrong dimensions. The blue one on another thread from Easy is suppose to be closer to the real thing from inside spie sources.

Well... mostly it doesn't look bad IF you can get past the horrible muffler (what's with
Kawasaki and mufflers lately?), the ugly-to-my-taste swingarm, the parachute, and
overall just how cluttered and ugly the rear end is. It kind of all falls apart at the back
of the bike.

I'd go with a regular 4:1 pipe, a regular swingarm, no parachute, and I'd ditch the
color coding of the hugger... it should be black so as to be less cluttery.

I'm not skilled at photo editing, but I tried seeing roughly what it would look like to
be rid of the worst of the clutter:

I like the silver one a LOT better, and hope that the real ZX-10R will be like that, but
I'm afraid it won't.

The green one has uglinesses to it that could hardly fail to be real... :(

Also, I'm losing confidence that this will be a stunning advance. The green one would
obviously be trying to go toe-to-toe with the 'Zook, but if the 160-hp-at-the-crank
figure is true, the best it will be performance-wise is "me too," as Suzuki has done
a stellar job overall, for that sort of bike, that probably can't be beat by much today
at any competitive price if you don't have a hp advantage.

The better approach would have been to, in Kawasaki style, have top performance
equal to impractical bikes while being practical and comfortable.

OR, if going for an uncompromising race replica, then absolutely kicking Suzuki ass on
hp, which 160 hp at the crank will not do.
