I'm new here.
I'm looking to buy 2007 Kaw zx14 with less than 500miles. It's been sitting up. They said They just got oil change and new battery.
Is this a red flag and stay away or is it a good deal?

I'm not knowledgeable to know how to check the bike for damage(engine).
It's physically looks good.:puzzled:

It is unusual but that does not necessarily equate to bad.

My 2005 Duc 999R had 1,012 miles on it when I sold it 2 years ago. In that case the bike sat in a collectors stable for six years and in mine until I sold it having put on just 300 miles. But... A zx-14 is not a Duc 999R so you need to learn why the low mileage.

Are you buying it from the original owner? Ask questions. Depending on price this could be a great deal or the worst mistake you'll ever make. It all depends on the "why".

I have heard about guys who have little bike experience buying bikes like the zx-12, zx-14 or Busa, scaring the hell out of themselves and pretty much parking the bikes before eventually admitting defeat, but it's not very common for one to sit for that long.
