Just wondering what the general consensus is on removing the KLEEN air system. I've heard that it is beneficial and will actually give you a bit more performance. I've also heard that it won't really do much for you other than possibly stopping exhaust "popping" - especially if you have a slip-on installed.

What's the deal? Is it worth it or not?

I noticed no performance benefit, but it really does cut out popping, most riders i know do it with no problems, well worth the mod, just think of the weight savings too!

Took mine out and it got rid of the ticking sound. Others reported that it made their off to on throttle transition a little smoother but I can't say I noticed any improvement in my case.

If nothing else it sure cleans up the sparkplug area by getting rid of the big honkin' canister valve......
