Yesterday dawned a good wether day here for a change, so I thought a good opportunity to put some more miles on the 12.
Wifey jumped on the back and we headed north. ( can't head south, we live at the bottom of the island. ) Got about 60 miles and stopped to see friends ( wifey was getting sore )
After an hour or so the sky went black so we headed for home. Sure enough it wasn't long and it was pissing down.
Now the reason I'm writing this is I could not believe how good the fairing is. I was wearing a good armoured and waterproof jacket, Jeans ( yea I know ) and good boots. Riding in moderately heavy rain for 30 minutes and only the top of my jeans were a bit wet.
I've chopped the rear flap on mine ( who hasn't ) so poor old wifey got all the road crud up her back.
Still enjoyed the ride though, spring is in the air down here. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D">

The day that I bought my bike last year it started pouring rain while I was getting ready to leave the dealership. I had about an 70 mile ride back from Toledo to Metro Detroit. It was around April and still cold. It rained the entire ride back. Talk about taking my time, being that the tires weren't scrubbed yet. When I turned the corner maybe a mile from the dealership the back tire almost let loose. Clutched it and regain traction. Other than being frozen by the time I got home, the pain was cleaning all the waterspots that were in every crevice I can think of on the bike.

RAIN! I love riding in the rain :) actually any day I can ride rain or shine is fine with me. My only problem is that I hate rain suits. I usually just look up to see how far the rain cloud is and ride faster to get threw it. Have been doing it for years and I'm too old now to change
