Hi everyone, could I ask a small favour with any owners running a stock exhaust system on your zx12s.
After running bike for about 5 mins, could you feel the lower fairing just below clutch basket area, where exhaust exits.
mine is, in my opinion unacceptably hot.
I have checked parts fiche, and the protection pads that go inside the fairing are listed for the upper fairing, but nothing around the lower area, where the heat i s at its greatest.I will have to make some sort of reflection pad,but would be grateful for any feedback, and indeed if you can see any deflectors on your own bikes, that mine may be missing.regards roy.

Hi sean,I take it you have felt the heat on your lower fairing.
i have put heat shielding all along lower right hand fairing, and also as far up as winglet area.
whilst the fairing was off,I managed to get a socket with extensions,up to all the header nuts, and loosened them and the rear can,to see if I could get any movement to push exhaust back,I did,but very little.
