Well guys... there comes a time in every bikes life when you need to send it down the ramp.

cgi.aol.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1857887842&rd=1

I have put 8000 miles on her and have decided she is just not for me. All along i have been longing for something light and more nimble. And i need the money now too. I also found a cheap 00 R1 .... I will post some pics of her when shes done.... ....

There may be a 12 in my life another day sometime down the road.

I feel the 12 is just not a everyday bike.... its just too damn powerful and hefty. Its not a jump on and run to the video store bike. it needs straights that you can bust out a 180mph thats where the 12 shines. We will see... if they drop down to under 480 dry and get with the times and put a digital speedo on her i will be back.....

You ARE kidding right? That is the most pathetic statement I've heard about any motorcycle.

I love the 12 (except for the clutch) I think the 12 is so everyday I use it to pick up my daughter from school (as she says so she can look cool). Any bike is powerful it's just self control... I was just watching your vids just to come back and see this....

Well good luck Beau... and stay ON the board!

Otis, I don't see why you think i am kidding? Its just not.... everytime i jump on the 12 i feel the need to twist the throttle and when you twist the throttle on the 12 we all know you go into tripple digits before you can blink. Are you saying its not a hefty bike?

This is just my opinion...

It(R1) handled the city traffic better than the 12 ever will. The 9 is also a good bike for this. I just didn't have access to a cheap one. I came from a 98 zx9 and i was apprehensive about the 12. Wheelies and stoppies and raising hell is what i like. the R1 can and will allow me to have more fun doing these...

I hope i get the money out of it but you guys know how the market is. Its slow for the 12... Hell it was slow when i bought it. I am hoping to get at least 6k out of her.... I will still be posting here and listening to the stories... I wish i could have both... Maybe someday...

Maybe I'm misunderstood what you meant then. If it's a matter of you not being able to control your wrist that's one thing, but I find the 12 a great bike to jump on and go the vidoe store or any other place for that matter.

Beau, I was considering the R1 before I bought my 12.
I sat on my first R1 on Saturday. I personally found it to be very uncomfortable. Felt too small to me. It is a better stoppie and wheelie bike for sure, but I doubt anyone here bought a 12 to be a hooligan, although I can wheelie with ease

I still like the looks of the R1, its a beautiful bike, it just does not fit me well, but it sounds like what you need

I have sat on every bike I could since I bought the 12, and nothing compares to it IMO...

Good Luck with selling your 12, and with whatever you replace it with

I hate that you are selling her so soon after finishing the project! But I am sure that you will be happy wherever you go....

Now, to business... Would you sell this bike to friend? With everything you have done to this bike, I am pretty sure I can get someone here interested...

e-mail me anything that you know, the bike needs, etc?
and DAMN, that rear tire is WORN...

Gawd! Beau. The R1 is so un-comfortable. Good luck!

You'll be back!

The R1 is god awfully uncomfortable. But that is about the comfort level, to the video store and back. Compared to a 600, the 12 is hefty and less nimble yes. But I would hardly say, not all that useable on a every day basis. Beau, judging by that video you posted, you don't seem to have any trouble at all throwing the 12 around. Good luck with your new bike.

Sorry... Dealers only. You have to be on the list to register at the conference. My uncles own a kawi dealership. It should be a blast. Kawi throws parties every night. What could be more fun than partying with fellow Kawi lovers...

I will have pics....

Beau, I know exactly what you're saying about the 12 dude,
I too had a 98zx9 and I found it more versitile than the 12.
I love the 12 but I do miss the ol' 9 at times.
I have ridden an 02 r1 and was very impressed!! in every
department except power, but after a 12 all bikes feel
"flat".
Take it easy on the 1.

If you're not breaking the law, you're not riding!!

I am still green to the CORE and will always be true to Kawi. If the 10R comes out the R1 will go down the ramp. I like all bikes. but Kawi is where my blood lies.

And yes i am still going to the dealer meeting... Praying for the 10R so i don't have to ride this Yammy too long
