Goin on a Southern Cali Saturday ride this Saturday, May 4.

Palomar

Telegraph

Laguna Mountains

Palm Springs

Who really knows where we'll end up.

The exact destinations have not been named, but we will be riding.

Who's in and where are you so we know what route we have to take to pick everyone up along the way.

I am out for this Saturday but have a group ride planned for Saturday May 18. Leaving from the Redondo Beach area we will be taking HWY 33 to Ojai, then beyond. There are a few options but it turns out to be around 400 miles for the day- mostly twisties. Anyone who will be around the Southern California area is welcome to join. Meeting location will be the Hawthorne exit off the 405 FWY. Time should be around 7:30 or 8am.

I am not leading the group. But I suspect we will ride on Dehesa to Descanso thru Cyuamaca thru Julian to Palomar. It is also a possiblity we ride Deshesa to Laguna, and take the sunrise highway to Julian.

Here are some pictures from our ride to Palomar Mtn. Saturday.

The pictures were taken at the bike hangout at the top of the mountain. I saw one 2000 red 12, and 1 02 red in Julian.

The guys I rode with had 2001 R1 and 2002 954. Goin up the tight side of the mountain. I was able to hang with the 954. He said he was not pushing real hard, because he had not taken the bike out in the serious tight stuff before. He only had 500 miles on it. It is fast. But I never let him get away from me. On the straights or up the mountain. We left the R1 behind. The R1 Rider was very slow. The 02 handled really nice. I am running the stock suspension settings. I did not touch down any where, and did not upset the bike. I still had a lot of room left to scare my self.

we didn't get up to palomar until 3 or so....

we had three green '00 head up 15 to 79 to 371 to Palm Springs(way too frigging hot for full leather there)

Then went to the hideout and Nano and Scott got some dead animal sandwiches

and some beer and looked at the young hot waitresses with large breasts.

Then headed up to Palomar and I got the veggie club.

Headed down, around Lake Wohlford, then home

We were out from 7:30 to 5:30. Only covered around 275 miles, but had some good stops/bullshit sessions along the way.

Sounds like you had a good time. We can hook up some time in the future.

P.S. Nothing like a young busty wench to get the steam up. X'cept maybe being on the 12 and pulling hard thru the gears.

don't make a big deal of it..nano's crazy like that all the time.

Last year for LAguna Seca, he was up all night and had to work overtime until 2 PM or so,

went home, and then we drove ~500 miles to San Jose and got in at 12:30 at night.

He was probably the first one up the next morning.

He's just crazy is all.

We should go for a ride to that idlewild place and see what the fuss was all about.

something to do besides go up and down palomar.

You forgot to mention that Nano had been up for something like 40 plus hours! That dude's a machine!

That was one of the first group rides I had been on in a long time had a great time and enjoyed shooting the shit.

Gotta love the hamburgers covered in bacon and cheese at the hideout plus the waitress have got to be 1 million times better looking then the ones at moms veggie shack. Next time will get Doug to snap a few digitals to share with you all!
