Finally got the bike back on the road... took it for its first ride today...

ahhhh how I have missed it.....
(reads: I have missed that big ass verticle ride out of the gas station today)

Blitz always told to run the beast naked, and I am going to do that for awhile and I must say... I LIKE IT.... only running Kaw and Ninja.... for now...

Did a few more mods while I was at it....

Clean Air
Crank Case Vent
Cut the rest of the chute off.
Removed rear sigs...
Installed an Integrator... (nice)

OO and I had to put the stock can back on.... :(

Just temporary of course.... should have the new pipe in a week or two...

But hey... atleast I can ride.... ;)

53 degrees...... damn... that's like the South Pole or something!! I've been wonderin' how long it would take before something was said about my temp bar. It's just there to let you all know what the general temp will be for Biketoberfest this week.

Jack Boost!

It's good to hear that you are riding again.

How long was the bike unridable? Way too long.

One good point is that the best riding temperatures are forthcoming here in the Sunshine State.

Rich, the temperature bar is great. It's a keeper.

Best wishes
Dave

I am a Blue '02 owner myself, I like the way it looks without the mud guard.

Where did you cut the tail off and what did you use to do the cutting?

Happy Camper..

There is small ridge right under the tail that heads towards the back of the bike....

Just follow that line and carry it around the back of the bike.

I used a sawsall with a good blade and clean it up with a dremil.

You can use a hacksaw, utilty knife or a dremil for the whole deal if you want....

oo and buy an integrator from Ace Hardware for 8 bucks..

Too few in blue

Glad to see more '02 blue owners 8) . Happy C., I just cut my shovel off last weekend, came out good using only a utility knife with a few extra blades. I cleaned up the edges with a block and some fine sandpaper. Also, check out this link if you decide to keep the turn signals...

NameChanger thought of a good way for a real low wind resistance install. I just took the lazy way out and went with the flipped mounts for a similar approach.

That temp bar is depressing..... On the other hand, the blue 12's are probably the best looking 12's from the factory in my opinion. I would love to get blue body work for my 2000. Someday....
