My wife tried to sit on the 12 to see if she could take it in an emergency. She rode the ZX11 a few times, but it had a Corbin. Her leg didn't slide over the seat well leaving it too short on the right. Over it went when she stood it up. She is okay, but feeling very bad for the resulting damage. It's amazing how many expensive parts touch down. Wish sliders were available.

The mag clutch cover is only pitted. Is the brown color skin deep? Can it be cleaned up?

Dropped my 2000 Busa 20 minutes after I bought it. Being my first bigbore, I was nervous to say the least about first gear power. (From a stop) So when I turned on my first right-hand corner, I forgot to kick it down to first, did not give it enough gas and it stalled. The beast stopped dead in it's tracks and I fought it for a bit, but it overwhelmed me and ended up on the sidewalk.

Second time was a couple weeks later, left hand turn, thought I had enough room to squeeze into traffic from a onramp. A guy quickly entered my lane just as I was pullin out. I stopped only to notice that I was on a hill slanting to my left and gravity was now in control. I fought for over a minute to keep it up...... It went down on the good side.

Two weeks later, being cocky, too hot into a corner, lowside-highside combo... Not pretty, dressed like a squid and the bike received $1200 of damage.....

2001 CBR 600
During a long hot ride, where I did not drink much water... I pulled in to a parking lot in front of 300 tourists and stopped. I never bothered to put my feet down, never even tried.. All I remember is seeing sky and feeling the bike on top of me.

2002 ZX12R
On my way back from Manitoba, a day after my best friend was killed on his bike by a semi in front of me.
I pulled in to lube my chain, was crying and pushed my bike ahead and did not check if the stand was still down. It had moved out of position. I fought this for almost two minutes in the rain and finally laid it down on it's side, a couple scratches to the casing, my luggage load saved it from any major damage...

Consider yourselves lucky!

Dropped mine loading it into the back of my pickup last winter to take it to storeage. Screwing around I goosed it and the ramp went one way and the bike went over on its right side. It cracked the upper on the pickup box side. That is all that was touched. shitty deal and it still isn't fixed

Is that a Honda?</p>

Sorry about the bad news... I damn near dropped mine the other day trying to move it in the garage with flip flops on....bad idea. Adowell, maybe you should consider a trike version of the 12?

I have the paint codes for the clutch and stator covers, if you want to have the paint mixed.
