Transplanted 12R

I am very keen to retain the engine performance of my 12R but feel it would make an interesting ride in a smaller bike like a ZX9R has anyone done it before, would the 12R engine fit ?

I've read about them. There was one in Sport Rider's UFO shootout 5 or 6 years ago. That thing hauled nutz. It had Richard's favorite gas NOS on it as well. They raved about it.
