Hello,

for short, motorcycle KLX650R 1995 stolen before yesterday , found uneven , a priori okay but unfortunately the most important piece , 14031-1274 engine cover is not available, no more stock and longer manufactured .

The Kwasaki official repair in Andorra will try to see if it is repairable. It loses oil through a small crack between the S and the A Kawasaki on the cover.

I had to go with this bike on holidays next week

Do you think a repair would be acceptable ? What techniques and resources will be needed ?
How can I organize my search with hope to find somewhere in the world the part in stock ?
Is it reasonable to look for a used item ? there also , how to organize my research ?

Thank you in advance for your answers and advices , I love this bike and I would not leave it just for an unavailable part...

TiG weld the crack from the outside. Epoxy is the quick fix but probably won't last on a big thumper since that cover holds the stator.

PS: a '95 KLX650C3 was my first street bike... wonderful for urban combat. Not so much for the highway.
