Sad to have left Victoria, BC and her lovely roads to settle in money-grubbing Alberta and make our fortune.



We now live 5 minutes south of Calgary. Super friendly, close commute... so far so good. Except for the GRAVEL this spring! Yikes! I miss Victoria's superlative riding.

I'm originally from Finland (small asskicking land in Northern Europe) Moved to Vancouver area Feb2002 and been enjoying so far. Here's one pic of me that I think describes my relationship to bikes the best.



(It's my ex-ZXR750R getting the usual service...)

However, I do like riding too...

'nuther western Canadian signing in.

I have just added a red '00 12R to my garage joining my '96 Concours and my wife's '99 9R. Very cool to see some other BCers on the list. I hope we can connect at some point. I am in Prince George. Although I am blown away by the performance of the 12, I am more intrigued by it's LD potential. This could be great as a big fast touring bike with minimal modifications. The previous owner of the bike put about 4000 km. on it in the last two years. Criminal<g>!!!! Before buying it, I took it out for a 2000 km. test ride over a three day weekend. Now it's all mine (evil cackle) I will be doing another 2000 km weekend June 4-6 starting with a stop Maple Ridge Motorsports for a full service and new Corbin seat then a scoot up to Vernon for new rubber and shield then back to PG so I can work again on Monday.

I have been riding for 25 years but this bike is a whole new arena. there is much to learn. I hope that some of you locals will take a moment to get in touch. my email is [email protected]
