At the age of 69 with 52 years of riding bikes I was going to retire.
Then walking through a car park i noticed a group of people looking at what I thought was a very well restored 60s model BSA.
It turned out to be a new Kawaski w 800, And I Knew I had to have one.
Should be throwing the leg over her in two weeks. Good on you Kawaski.

Great bike to follow in heritage !! they were a great bike of all time the BSA's as Norton/triumphs , great to see you found a good ride that has a bit of respect for the original's mate..

Hi Davo, a belated reply as I've just joined this forum.
As I'm going to retire this year and I'll have a lot of
spare time I also decided to get back in the saddle.
I've not ridden a motorcycle for over 30 years so just
to be on the safe side I took some riding lessons!
First looked at a Triumph Bonneville but then fell in love
with the Kawasaki W800!
What a bike! Not the fastest but what a joy to ride!
