I went and bought a 2017 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager 1700. Totally different animal from the 12R it ain't even funny. Got a sweetheart deal on it tho with low miles. 12 is still buried in a corner tho. I'll figure that out some other time. This bike doesn't kill my back/neck/shoulders/wrists quite as bad as the 12 does. Gonna take some gettin used to.

It already had pipes and a bunch of toys done. I think I may just leave it as is for now.

Thanks.

Yea. Has the pipes done, highway pegs, aftermarket air filter and housing...I ain't checked to.see if it had a power commander installed with the pipes, but it's not really important. One pipe has a bit more buildup than the other, but I think V-Twins usually run a bit richer on one cylinder...don't remember. Now I need to see if there is a preload setting for the forks. They are very spongy. Spose, I may have been spoiled by the 12, but, there has to be a way to stiffen those up a bit. Has air assist rear shocks, and I had to pump them up a bit.

Funny shit is....the rear subframe on the 12 is rated for 417 pounds according to the sticker on it. This bike, with cargo in the bags and a pillion, is rated for 380 pounds! That's funny. That lil aluminum subframe being held on by 4 bolts holds more weight than a steel tube frame? I think not Kawasaki. Haha.

They want entirely too much money for a FSM, so ima have to do some searching around and see if I can find one.

Oh yea...and belt drive is..........different. Always worried ima snap the damn thing. Seems to handle it. For the 107.9 ft lbs it puts out at 2750, the 12 had TONS more pull with less...but I like it.
