I bought my 9 year old boy a used XR70 about a month ago and hes riding the hell out of it and loving it. My 11 year old girl just isnt in to bikes at all but she loves riding around on our riding mower. My thoughts are to get a four wheeler. I went to the Kaw shop today thinking a Bayou 250 you know so I could ride it sometimes to but the owner says I should get her the little Kawasaki 90 that they offer now which is the rebadged Suzuki. Its a two stroke electric start but I cant ride it because its small. Shes a big girl about five feet four and strong to but the shop owner says if its really going to be for her dont get her anything that big and heavy. What do you all think?

I would start out pretty conservative if she is totally inexperienced.

My motto, as you may know is "Learn to walk before you try to run".

Let her cut her teeth on a smaller machine for a year or two, its not going to have enough power to get her hurt too bad and when she's ready to move up to the next level, she'll have the skills down for the bigger machine.

That's my advice, go small, let her get comfortable with the machine. If she out grows it, you can always sell it and go up in size.

I was on a ambulance call this summer with a 12 YOA girl involving a quad accident. I don't recall what size quad it was but lets just say it was way too much for her. She flipped the quad and had a head injury that required a medivac. She was also wearing a helmet that was way too big for her skull. She's fine now, but I'll never for get the look on her fathers face, he knew he F'd up.

As a parent of 2 girls, I don't think any of us ever want to experience that. Go small, let her muscle it around for awhile and then let her trade up when ready. Just my $0.02.

They have the 03 Suzuki rebadged Kawasaki 80 four wheelers at our shop $2,299.00 or they will sell me a 01 E-Ton 90 for dealer cost $1,599.00. Or is there something better out there I dont know about? Is E-Ton any good?
