We all have the love of the 12R in common... I just thought it may be interesting to see other peoples first car pics...... This was mine... 1969 mustang fastback had a 428/automatic in it.... Ran real good...

Next was a 76 Camero with a 350 420hp engine.
Then a 82 Mazda RX7..

I had 3 1969 fastbacks mustangs 1 351 cleveland/4 speed and one small block 351 and the 428 car, 2 1967 mustang fastbacks, 2 1972 fastback mustangs, A 1970 baracuda gran coupe 383 4 speed, A 1977 Trans am. That got me out of school.... Not all of these at same time though.... Of all these I only crashed one playing chicken with my cousin..... Neither one of us turned..... Needless to say nobody would play chicken with us...

I just thought this topic might get interesting...

What I wouldn't have done for a muscle car in those day's.

I don't have a pic. of my first car, and that's a good thing as it was a '72 Vega that burned more oil than fuel. It did have a thrush muffler on it though <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek">

My first car was a 88 Ford Crown Vic w/the big V8 Flowmaster Duals, w/a pull-out Kenwood stereo. A two channel 1100 watt Punch amp pushing two 12" JL audios and a four channel Kenwood amp for the interior speakers.

Lucky bastards... I refuse to post the pic of my first car, a 1974 Pinto wagon, in pumpkin orange with an AM radio. Yuk. My parents were no help at all, they just wanted me to work my ass off and save every penny for school. I was a deprived child!

My first car I bought was a 1973 Impala 2-Door Hardtop (Mean Green Machine) Still have it. Is waiting patiently on a 454 transplant. Had a 350 4-Barrell that it donated to my 1983 Firebird. Soon.

72 Dodge Demon Hemi Orange with Black stripe's, Wicked little Devil,

340 with Holley 650 double pumper, Header's with Cherry Bomb's with pipe's going back to rear bumper with little stock chrome tip's. Cragar's SS's, General Grabber tire's, 60's on the rear and 70's up front,

My Dad bought the car new, And in 78 threw the key's accross the kitchen as mom was talking to insurance man.

What a rush for a 16 year old. Don't know if mom was getting car insurance for me or life insurance<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Well.. this makes me flash down memory lane.. My first car was a Blue 64 327/365 Corvette Coupe.. This car was a screamer.. It had the side pipes and just rumbled ..
It was funny because this was the car that I took my drivers test in.. I think the examiner wanted to take it out for a spin..
I had this for a couple years and then bought a 69 SS Camaro with the 396/375hp engine.. This baby was Midnight Blue and was scary fast..Especially for an 18 year old kid..
It kind of surprises me that I didn't kill myself with this car.. By the time I sold it she was pushing about 550hp and getting about 6 miles to the gallon...
I guess the Need for Speed is still with me.. I still have a Corvette, but when I really want to go fast the 12 is ready and waiting in the garage.. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT="">

Mono...I had an '81 Mazda RX7 with a 13b, black, motor, trans and rear modified...Bought it from a friend after he just had the car finished...His father gave him a Camaro Z-28 brand new...I raced him and kicked his ass!!! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> Everytime I see one at the Drag Strip I miss it...Had alot of fun times with that car!!!

My first ride was a 71' Vega Wagon. Had so much rust you could actually see the front tires when you opened the hood.

The Vega wasn't so much a car, as a joke played on the buying public by G.M., the only car I would actually categorize as a step down from a Pinto. An AMC Hornet was considered classy by comparison.

It was a good car to take to the drive-in though, because the backseat folded down and I had the side and back windows blacked out (that was a teenagers window tint in 1977).

At least the Pinto could be ordered with plastic woodgrain decals to hold the rusted body together.

The battery actually fell out of my Vega.

I mean fell out. It was so rusted, the battery fell out. And it was the best 1 year battery Kmart offered.

My dad had one of them pumpkin orange pintos, just brought back some memories !!!

I did have a '65 Stang for a while, it was pretty well beat though, with the 285.

I was a Mustang first-timer, too: '73 fastback w/ 351C; then a '73 Camaro, then a '74 Vega Station wagon w/ a 350/4speed (and wood grain on the side!). Then I got into bikes...
