I'm from the USA way back but I work in London and live in the hills near Nice, South of France. Did the trip London to nice last weekend - 700 miles on Saturday two up and 250 on Sunday. The last 1/3rd was through the French Alps with 12% gradients and 180 turns! Greatest ride I ever had! I am in France right now.

Good idea for a post.

I am from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. BC is on the West coast just North of Washington (just in case you don't know Canadian geography.

Fish, Kiwi, frEEK, zx23rr, N102SR, Cowboy, Superman are also from Vancouver.

Swft is from Washington so we have been on rides together. Hawkman was from Washington before he moved to LA. Necromancer is also from Washington. We had some great ZX-12R rides last summer, this summer has been slow though.

No wonder there are so many Harleys here (Ohio)all you damn guys out west and northwest gobbled up all the 12's eh? Well at least not all. Hooked up w/ roadkill for a ride...need to do it again. But mainly Harleys and Jap harleys. W/ all the shit stripped except kawa on tank...which blends in pretty well...I guarantee you that 3 out of 4 people who OWN bikes here can't figure out what I have. It's freakin hilarious. Closest guess was a new zx 6 owner who guessed mine was a zx 7 or maybe a ZX 9. Man this is too fun. Need to get out and buzz some Harleys.

Man there is a shit load of you in northwest corner.Outsider do you and your freind ever get together and ride? I grow up around Hays,ks. I lived about 60 mi. from there in a town called Hill City. We need to get together sometime if you ever that road trips. I have a few friends that I go riding with here in Liberal but they all ride 6s(to bad for them).I have not got my 12 yet but I will pick it up Wensday. The dealer had to take a cruise somewhere out by the Bahamas(lucky Guy). he wont let the other service tech service it. He wants to do it himself. I just cant wait for the 12. I wish time would pass a little faster. It just seems like it is standing still. The only bad part about riding around here is that it is very flat and straight land. I guess that makes it good for top end tests but not alot of fun roads as far as curves and hills are concerned. We all need to be over with Kaz. That place just sounds way to unreal. Tear some of those roads up for me!

I am looking forward to getting together with some of you off here.

Add me to the list! My red '00 leftover ZX-12R is now 63 (sixty-three) miles old here in Manassas, VA. I've been a ZX owner for 27 hours. If there is a twelve step plan, i don't want to hear about it!

415ZR1: Welcome to the board.

Check out the general information page on www.zx-12r.org and look in the top left hand column for "so you just bought a zx-12r" or something like that, it is good to read and you should follow Koz's breakin procedure.

have fun,

I'm from Woodstock, Georgia. I do all of my riding in The Blue Ridge Mountains of N. Ga. and N. Carolina. The roads around there are incredible! Is there anybody else that lives in the Southeast?

I'm from the Charlotte, N.C. area originally, but right now I am working in the Cincinnati, O.H. I had the ZX-12R up here for a while, but I took it home over the weekend. I will be traveling home every other weekend to ride. Are there any other 12 owners in the Charlotte area?

DoTsTer is from Upstate NY on the Canadian Border..

100 miles North of Syracuse, NY and 40 minutes from Kingston, ONT Canada.

Right on the Saint Lawrence River... A resort area called the "1000 Islands Region"

I grew up on the River and there's almost 2000 Islands.. some very big. I ride my Jet Ski a lot as this is one of the best places in the world to own a Jet Ski.

The River is not like you think.. there are places where it looks like it is an ocean. It is ridiculous how big this river is. Tourists often ask what Ocean it is.

I also have friends who own Islands.."passed down to them through family" and we go hang out and cook up food, swim, and drink Labatt Blue all day. "ehh ?"

It's a rough life... as I took this entire summer off to play with my toys.

There's lot of good places to ride the 12 in every direction.

I want to take a big trip into Canada one of these days.

Too bad some of my riding buddies aren't allowed over there anymore.

My Jet Ski is a Kawasaki "1100 STX D.I." and it is cool as shit as it hauls ass, but it big enough so that I can naviagte some serious chop with no problem.

I swear.. sometimes I get into worse situations on that thing than I do on my 12.. I've come back to shore before covered in bruises and bleeding.. We have some big ass waves from Oceanliners and Tour Boats... I can catch 10 foot of horizontal air when I feel like it. Sometimes I don't land too well. Like last week when I was doing a superman that got ugly. I'm still feeling that one.

Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, smack dab in the middle of North America. Where roads are flat, bumpy, straight and generally boring. This often creates the need to travel absurd distances to enjoy some twisties. So far that has included Nova Scotia( Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail, F**king awesome for a prarie boy!!). I also did a 3 week trip to Yellowstone, down to AZ and then to California (Laguna Seca WSB) and back up through Montana, to Edmonton, Alberta Canada, then home across the prairies. Side trips to the Black Hills as time permits.
