Chris, Roy had the same thing happen on his bike.
Other than the fuse box, there is another in-line fuse.
I'm sorry but I can't remember where he said it was.
Most likely this in-line fuse has blown.
Maybe someone with a service manual can tell you exactly where it is located, or since
Roy and Mark are at Biketoberfest, you may ping CW (Roys bro-in-law)
he could get Roy to call or post for you.

On my 01 there was a 2nd head light fuse located next to the main fuse in the battery box, and it is not mentioned in the Book. :)

My switch on the bar is acting up sometimes.... Sometimes when I flip it to highbeams lights go out... I have to move the switch back and fourth a couple times.... Probably take it apart tomorrow and clean it... Maybe its a switch problem..

The junction box is under the gas tank cover. It's the main fuse box.
Somehow mine managed to go bad twice. Check under your passenger
seat for the connector that come's off of the voltage regulator. (The one
that everyone is finding oil in!) I bet if you can't see it, you'll be able to
feel that it's getting xtra hot. (maybe smell it)

The first time my light's went out the shop just replaced my junction box
under warranty. The second time it happened I was out of warranty but
Kawi. still payed for it, and the dealer went a step further. He cut off the
connector (the one with the oil) and soldered the wire's straight together
then used heat shrink. So far so good.

This may not be the case with you, but it sound's strangely fimilar.

Good Luck.
