I just got a 94 zx11d2,bike was jumping out of 1st,so i decided to split the case (first time for me)needless to say there's a five speed in there instead of the six.Why would someone do that. Is there any benefits, other then they are easy to get.I ride mostly on the highway, and am not sure about not having a sixth gear? I already bought most of gears,shift drum,forks,springs and clutch kit for a zx11? But that's my fault for planning ahead. Any thoughts on the tranny would be appreciated.

Somewhere, there is a ZRX running around with the transmission from your ZX11.

you should be able to get an 11 tranny cheap if you watch ebay

I think the ZZR1200 trany fits to does it not, better yet just buy the whole ZZR motor and toss it in for quick 160hp!!!!

thanks for the help,found a older thread on tranny swaps? Plus the only one i can find is from a 90 zx10.Just trying to ride again! Been a couple of years. I'll keep the zzr engine in mind. thanks again
