Well folks, it's finally time, I have finished enough of my other projects to begin tinkering with this old idiot. I know you guys love pointlessly detailed threads on old bikes that should be out rusting in a field somewhere and I will not disappoint you. Hopefully, with a little help from my forum friends (including Gunner who still wants me dead) we can put this back together again. If you're more interested in guys that can work with their hands and make cool stuff, please check out Henry's and Gunner's stuff. This will be mostly ham-fisted, bolt-on-Billy work! More pics to follow.

Now, a brief history. This machine was converted to a 1287cc, thin-headgasket, stage R ported, fire breathing machine, only to have it's clutch basket explode during dyno tuning (complete monkey at the controls). This required a full tear down and flush and luckily the basket only made big chunks instead of glitter! So back together again with some of Henry's advice on cam selection and timing:

Now, for the hangup. During the early stages of COVID when I was taking this project on during "quarantine", I found that KHI was backordered on oil pumps by several months. This was problematic as I didn't care much for the rotor and case wear and sought a replacement:

While I waited for KHI to build and ship some more rotors I became sidetracked with literally a dozen other bikes/jetskis/boats/kit plane!
