Here is our 2001 ZX9R shop bike, it's our test bike for new parts we get in. It's been good to us, 17,000 miles and going. Lots of mods. Some of the items on it now.....Galfer wave rotors, braided lines and Sintered pads, Scotts Damper, SharkSkinz bodywork, Graves fairing bracket, Vortex triple clamp and gas cap, Factory Pro 1.7 carb kit and 4 degree advancer, BMC race filter, DID ERV2 520 conversion, Sprocket Specialists sprockets, Woodcraft rearsets and clipons, Remus Ti High Mount, Targa Undertail, 43mm KYB inverted forks, off a late model ZX7R with a custom steering stem. We have a CarboTech front fender on the way also. A few items on the list of "things to do" is Race Tech valving front and rear, MyChron 3+ data display/lap timer, Factory Pro engine covers, and installing Self ejecting Dzus fasters on all the bodywork. No turn signals or mirrors. Countershaft sprocket is 1 down.

SBD, how about a little feedback on the brakes. Power, lever feel and how much weight loss over the OE rotors. I'm looking at the Wave rotor & lines upgrade any input would be appreciated.

Sweet ride fer shur. POst some more pics. Up close, I want to see the tail and the rearsets.

Thanks

I'll get some good pics posted soon. The Wave Rotors are awesome, unfortunately they aren't available for the 98-01 ZX9R, just the 94-97, and the ZX12R and ZX7R. Basically the models with 320mm rotors. 00-01 is 310mm. I'm running ZX7R forks, that how I got them on there. I am speeking about Galfer Waves also. Other brands may have have them available for the 9R. The lines alone will be the most benefitial upgrade you'll ever make to your brakes. Initial bite is awesome, lever feel is top notch. You can't ask for any better. As far as weight loss, I didn't weight them before I put them on, but Galfer claims 3-4lbs!
