Should I

Hi all , am a ZX12 owner but looking at getting an edition . My mate has a 650 Versys and swears by it. Me and misses fancy doing some European touring next year and the 650 looks like good all rounder. I have had a BMW GS 1100 that I did a Scotish trip on . Found it a very boring bike . Got a few questions on 650 .

Do you think the 650 is good for 2s up.
Any issues I should look for while buying one
Would the 1000 Versys be a better option
Whats the 650 like on fuel . Long trips etc , with 2s up
Is the luggage space enough for 2 people

Cheers ..... thoughts please

Can't says I have experience with that bike per say, but, I have ridden plenty of 650's in my time, and can tell you, if you're just toodling along and don't care about power, go for it. Riding 2 up on ANY 650 non sport bike will feel like you're way under powered. Passing power will be lacking. Not to say it won't be a fun bike, but, after a 12R, it will make you a bit sad, especially 2 up.

If you have an option for a 1000, go that route. Be a much more satifying ride for both pilot and passenger imho...
