Any buddy here know what the color codes are for the red 2000 12? I asked a dealer and all I got frome him is the color name(hell I knew that much). Also does anyone have the part number for the helmet cable bolts to replace the bungee studs?

Man this bike is just too much fun. I have had the bike for almost 2 weeks now and loving it. I just have over 900 miles on it so I have not had a chance to see what it do. But I know once it is broken in I will really like it. I just cant say enough about this site. It is really EXTREME! Thanks Easy for a great site. You really can find anything you want to know here. If not, you just ask and you shall receive.Love it!

That'd be code A5 - Candy Persimmon Red.

Check out Kawasakis website link, it'll even tell you the name of the guy who was the first one to sneeze next to your bike.

I would assume PPG will have a cross reference for it. Have you actually talked to the paint store yet ? The company I have dealt with in the past (mainly restoring musclecars) could ALWAYS match up by the manufacturers code.

I.e.: tell them you have a 2000 Kaw Ninja Zx12r paint code A5 Candy Persimmon Red and thats all they should need.

And you are dealing with a true automotive paint supplier, not like an automotive parts chain, correct?

Well, I used to date a girl named Candy when I was in high school, but that is a whole new thread and I'm still working that one out from a scientific standpoint.

She was also fast, so I am sure I am on the verge of a scientific breakthrough of some sort on that venue, also....

Since I can't ride I will be anxiously awaiting the scientific Candy thread! Shit, as bad as my ass still hurts doubt I could implement much of that info now either.

One thing for sure, zero riding time = number of posts going way up. Mav I'm starting to feel like you. You sure you don't want to drop a Vtwin in my 12 and try it out?
