Fuel Injection Light

Sorry I did a few searches and didn't find anything. Had a problem happen to me twice today, here is the scenerio.

Started the 12, let it warm up til the temp moved off the coldest spot, took off, went to leave the next stop sign and nice and smooth take off then it just quit pulling like I had let off the throttle. I looked down the FI light was on, it did this for about 2-3 secs I never changed throttle position then it light went out and it pick up right where it had left off.. didn't do it again...............until...

about 2 hrs later different ride

same thing I took off went 2 miles stopped turned it off, got gas. . so this time it was completely warm.. started it up, pulled out of the gas station and bam.. it did it too me again same thing.

What concerns me if I wasn't expecting this in a slow intersection corner I could see me dumping it, it would almost be like hitting the brakes.

the bike has 14K miles on it, its a 2000 zx-12r, never had any trouble, and its bone stock.. I mean BONE stock.. stock plugs, air filters, can.. left everything factory.

It happens to me every now and then,

But mine is caused by doing long (a km or more) wheelie with less than half a tank of fuel.

The first time it did it it scared the crap out of me. (Ie on the back wheel and the bike just shuts down).

Could the TPS cause it or even a fuel pump? I used to have a car that died on me due to a broken wire (under the insullation). It would die and when I got it to the shop, vibration had gotten it back together again. Took like 15 times to find it. Finally found it by shaking wires in the shop until it died. :?

Sounds like nothing is broken when it comes and goes. Check all connections. Everything from a watertemp sensor to TPS. And when having them loose. Put some grease (special, for electric connections) in them to be sure there's absolute connection there. Will most likely solve your problem. It's hard to find these problems, I know. But a sensor almost never starts to fail and then don't. Either it's broken or not!
Check your connections!!

Has anyone checked to see if the fuel injection system (ECU) saved an error code? Not saying that it tells you everything, but it may give you some clues. :)
