Well..it lives !! Quick 20 mile test ride to check for leaks and to start to bed in brakes after major service and minor cosmetic refresh.

Who says these brakes aren't very good ? Fukn brilliant on the front, nearly sent me over the handlebars. Rear ain't much yet but hope the pads settle in soon. Carbon Lorraine xbk5,s all round. Fresh fluid and new seals.

All 16 SHIMMS done, new plugs, throttle bodies balanced, they were out and tps adjusted, it was out a little. Fresh 10w fork oil, front on standard settings and seem very good, rear might be later shock ? But gave it a fair bit more preload and dropped yokes down forks 6 mm, handles good , no running wide now.

Looking forward to a bigger faster test run.

My dusty 2002 with full acrapovic system, xenon-kit and gipro, as far as I know everything else is stock.
I bought it relying only photos that seller send me, so it was bit of a gamble.
When freight truck delivered it in my yard it seems to be a quite well kept bike.
I've started it once and now i'm staring at the calendar and waiting for the spring to come and melt that white stuff away (damn you northern hemisphere!!), good thing is that i have a patience as good as 5yo child .

hi mKA I imagine there isn't a lot of winter riding in Finland you could use some spiked tyres for a blast through the powder, you can clean it in winter though so it will have a good build up of polish when the time is right. Now as for the patience of a 5yo buy a bmw waiting for parts will give you patience Craig

if anything goes wrong check the battery
no longer a rider but still an enthusiast
