Replacing clutch cover.

Hey guys,

I've managed to track down a used clutch cover for my bike for $85aussie.

I wasn't really to keen on paying $385 through my Kaw dealer for a new one!

What i want to know is after i have drained the oil out, will i have to take the oil filter off as well and reprim it?

Thanks,

Shaun

if you are putting in fresh oil, it would probablly be best to go ahead with a new filter. Did you get a new gasket? RTV on the new gasket?

ake the clutch covers on and off at the track to adjust clutch springs all the time. Just tilt the bike to the left and pop it off. Piece of cake. If you have a filter and you know it needs to be changed , sure go ahead but you do not neccasarrily have to. "Reprim" is oer rated. Just fill it up and the oil pump will do the rest.

Not going to put new oil in L2M as she is due for her 60000km service.

So as soon as she's back together then that's where she'll be going.

As for the clutch cover gasket i am going down to order one tomorrow morning.

And i have no doubt that they'll try to f&^k me in the ass for that as well!

Unless you have to have it tomorrow order it from Ron Ayers.com

Ronayers would have been my first choice except for one little thing.

I'm in Australia and they don't ship internationally.

Which is good in a way 'cause i could have spent a LOOOOT of money very easily there!!!!
