Fuel injection light flashing at start
My bike has seemed to develop a new behavior.Every once in awhile when I try to start it it just cranks over and wont fire, and while cranking the fi light is flashing. When I shut of key and turn it back on it starts or does this again but after another on off cycle will start and runs fine.I had a full service not too long ago and just installed k&n filters and a yoshimira rs-3 bolt on.Other than that its a stock 2001 no pc3.Anyone have any ideas?
Anything on this link worth trying ?.
FI light, hard starting and stalling @ ZX12R ZONE.com
is your PC3 linked to your brake switch? if so it is better to reconnect the wire to other power source.
Power Commander Support F.A.Qs
I dont have a power commander and I read that other thread but it doesnt seem to apply.
Dont know if it helps, but I had an Air Pressure Sensor that was going out on my 12. Anytime I would get hard on the throttle for more than 5 minutes, she would stall out next time I came to a stop. Try to find someone with a shop manual, that way you can pull the code out and see what your flashing FI light is for
is your fuel pump cycling on when you are having this problem?
You should be able to hear it when you switch the key.
My fuel pump relay has been acting up recently.
I am not sure does it make a constant noise or just a short noise?
It should be a 3 second whirring noise and should be easy to hear.
The flashing FI light means you have a current fault code, this link should help you determine what it is.
tell us the fault code and someone with a manual (i can do it) will look up your problem
