I am using the zx10 triple. Direct swap. Only for the B model 12.

Your idea of a aluminum B model mount is very interesting. The steel ones I have do have a lot of wiggle. Iím assembling a 2003 frame 12 for track day work. Canít see why a aluminum mount would be detrimental. Flex is the question

I can confirm, the bike handles fantastic with the 10 forks.

I did the same thing for a friend of mine. He bought the bike used, had no idea it had been wrecked. The frame had cracked right along the weld above the battery box, and was re-welded. The end result was the frame was tweaked and the motor mounts were misaligned. The bike did ride OK (his words, not mine). I swapped his stuff over to a spare clean title frame I had and got him back on the road.

I'll have my 4x4 guy look at it and see what kind of weight savings can be achieved.

If only I could convince the guys that made the CF motor mounts for my YZ to dabble in some parts for a very old sportbike

Did you figure out how to make that swingarm work?

The carbon mounts are fantastic.
The 10 arm works great. The issue is swingarm to sub-frame clearance. Which is not a issue if you are not riding two up. Set up for track days it becomes no issue at all.

Aluminum motor mount for 02-06 has been done. Carbon mounts for all years would be great!

do you know where I can find one? It seems like it would be good for 1-2lbs.

Garage
Nipped out to Squires Cafe for a quick brew, roads are damp and covered in mud with a sprinkling of salt. Not the best conditions for a quick blast that's for sure.

For Tech Questions Bike Model letters and Country are more useful than saying the year, for UK owners anyway, as registration year is not always the year of manufacturer model.
