What's causing your overflow bottles to get damaged?

I'll be in Ireland (Dublin) on the 27th May for 4 nights before going to IOM, so I will test the lack of UV/Sun damage by using my bald head in your blistering sun!

Just wanted to share a little bit about the good fortune that came my way this week.

I've had my A1 12 for a long time now and have been searching for a Muzzy adjustable ignition advancer for frickin ever. And yes I know about the advancer mod by drilling out the bracket. I wanted an aftermaket advancer so I didn't have to mess with the stock stuff. I didn't care about it being new or used. I saved the search on ebay a couple years ago and forgot about it. This week I got a hit and a seller listed a brand new muzzy mz-130 advancer. I was shocked and immediately sent an offer for it. Ended up scoring it for $40! I was beyond psyched. Figured I'd share my story. This thing is almost an antique since our bikes are so old!

Yep mate, it's my first time EVER overseas and going with my son Dave, who arranged everything!

We will be at the IOM for 8 days/nights of the main race week, then over to England to see some sights like where my parents grew up.

Not only that, but because it happens at the end of our trip, Dave has then booked for us to go to Barcelona for 5 days, which covers the Catalunya MotoGP!!!

I've told him I will be like a little boy holding a balloon in one hand, an ice cream in the other, and just gawking at everything. He's going to have to put one of those harness things on me to make sure I don't wander off!!

I have booked for us to ride the IOM track on a couple of Adventure style bikes (BMW 1200GS / KTM 1290 Super Adventure) on the Mad Sunday, can't go there and not do that!

Don.

Cheers Steve,

Never, ever thought I'd be doing this.

I've been telling everyone this is what happens when you raise your children right with stern disipline! (yeah, right lol).

Changed the oil and rode lt for the first time since having both knees replaced last fall. I had been riding my C14 but needed a few more degrees of bend in the knees to get my feet up on the pegs of the 12. Itís all good now though.

Had a blast out on the zx-12r today with Gaynor on the back.
Then when I got home fitted new brake pads in the front, engine oil and cleaned the air filters out should have done that first but then we wouldn't have gone out.

For Tech Questions Bike Model letters and Country are more useful than saying the year, for UK owners anyway, as registration year is not always the year of manufacturer model.

I've finally bit the bullet and bought a replacement engine for my 12. I don't think I could've repaired it for the same price and together with my accident in 2017 I would've to take it all apart to clean and inspect it thoroughly as well, further upping the cost... I've only rode 125 miles this year so far, I just don't trust the excessive oil consumption. Hopefully the replacement engine is still in good shape on the inside and does come with a warranty.
