my bet is that the vast majority of these bought are by guys one step removed from the Harley bar hoppers. the guys who will put on a couple thousand miles ( at most ) a summer and spend most of their time parked , hoping someone will recognize the bike & congratulate them on their purchase

and collectors who already have a 2 stroke H2 in their collection......this would be a cool addition

Im betting only a couple handfuls of owners in the states will throw more $ at it trying to, & getting, some real impressive performance out of it
So you have moved on from h2 bashing to making assumptions about their owners ?

Are you saying they are the kinds of guys that put green lights under their bikes and ride around without helmets ?

Sucks when the reality train pulls into the station.

If people would stop trying to pass off fiction as reality, there would be no need for any of it. As long as these idiots keep trying to assert the possibilities of the platform before any testing is even done, there will be cats like me to swoop in and remind them of the facts. Fact number one is this....THERE HAS BEEN ZERO ECU TESTING ON THE H2. Fact number 2 is this....THE H2 AND H2R ARE 2 DIFFERENT ANIMALS WITH MORE THAN JUST THE CLAIMED DIFFERENCES IN THE POWER PLANT. There are other facts, but, you'll need to read back for those. These 2 are the important ones. EVERYTHING the dreamers are saying is nothing more that THEORIES. In some cases, uneducated ones. Until there is concrete evidence of any of it, it never happened. Period. All we have right now is the H2, H2R, and the testing done with the "H2RG" (which runs the H2R engine). No testing, other than a few motojournalists riding around a track, has been done with either, and published. We have a couple dyno runs, and a bunch of videos of complete idiots riding them.

People need to stop spreading rumors based on their own dreams. They need to let the people who actually have them, and know what they are talking about, figure out the capabilities. And like logmaster said, there may be only a handful of people who even want to go beyond the stock machine, mostly because any alteration is going to affect the resale value. And not in a positive way. The rest of the people who sit back and armchair all the fairy dust and myths about its grand abilities didn't think the bike cool enough to order one. It's cool enough to sit back and spread unporven rumors tho.

I wish cats like Ghul wouldn't say shit until they have hard evidence. Nobody reads the part that says "for ideas on research and development" or "these are theories and I am in no way saying this is possible". None of them read that far. They saw the 240~250rwhp with a flash and their heads shut off. Now all the sudden it's the gospel.

It is not us who are trying wear anyone down with "shite". It is us who are more level headed and actually read ALL the info provided, and then remind people of what it really said, that are keeping bullshit from spreading too far online.

You have bashed everything about the bike ! We all know what you and ( thinks he knows it all ) think about it ... why keep going on about the bike and KHI ? Other people see different to you and like the bike and are just throwing up info that's coming out on the net . Its you and shit for brains telling everyone about the bike when you know Nothing about it either !

There's no need to down every positive thing people throw up here is there ?

Sounds like you and specially my12r have to much time on your hands if thats the case . My12r is the perfect example of jealousy , he could never afford one so he has to make it look like shit to people that can afford one !

"The superchargers are geared the same!"

"It's not the BOV settings either. It is the throttle by wire maps. Notice on the dyno chart how the power essentially levels off above 10,500? That is because above that the ECU will not give you WOT.

In fact at 100% Accelerator (WOT on a conventional bike) the ecu only opens the Throttle a little over 30% (Throttle body "butterfly" valves) at high RPM.

Disclaimer: I've only downloaded Gadson's hybrid ECU (H2G?) and a stock CALifornia H2 ECU. I've not actually downloaded to a true H2R yet."

Looks good.. Time to put $$ down and place some bets!

Journos reports

I've read every mag out that's tested the h2 and h2r. The journalists are riding and testing motorcycles as a Job and all bar none think these are outstanding bikes. Don't need to compare them with anything because they are not trying to be like anything else. Construction according to all of them is outstanding and performance is not too shabby. It's taken Kawasaki to take the risk and show what can be done. The future looks great.
It's great that this site allows debate but when two trolls who have never ridden one start talking shite its just grating......but then isn't that what they want?

Only dangerous to myself.
