Power Commander Accelerator Pump Feature

Whats this "feature" all about and does it help on our zx12r?? I run a B model with K&N's, PC3, and a full muzzy system. Im happy with my currant mapping, but if I can squeeze out some more performance im always game to try.

That feature gives an Extra shot of fuel when you gas the bike .. tried it on my B4 and all it did was puff black smoke out the pipe when hitting the throttle ! Imho it doesn't work good with secondary flies in the TB's . Just seen your bike and it doesn't have secondary flies so give it a shot .. it ' may ' help out of corners with your setup .

I was under the impression my 04 B3 had secondary flies? If not than what your saying is I should give it a try, after I confirm my model doesnt have the flies Ill give it a go, otherwise I dont need a puff a black out the back...lol

It does have flies, unless you or someone else has removed them.

It richens the mix for an adjustable amount of revvs....like 40 or some shit...give a quick shot of fuel when you twist the throttle. Compensates for the split second of more air than fuel.........

It made a difference on my bike.....noticeable....and a puff of black smoke too...haha....gone in a puff of smoke they say about me....

Its way too populated now for my liking. Out in the country its still alright at times but #1 hwy out thru Abby can crawl anytime it seems now. A zx is overkill for the lower mainland, it just can't get up an breathe

Sorry i wasn't wearing my glasses and thought your bike was an 03 lol .. i tried the race setup and every time i hit the throttle it ran rich as shit and puffed a shit load of black smoke out of it . My friends that were behind me told me . I personally think its due to the secondary flies imho . As i said before , accelerator pump feature is more set for single fly TB's .

Edit Give it a go and see what you think , you can always delete it . Didn't do anything for my bike .

Send a message via AIM to Lou zx12r
I played around with it, when using the example from the documentation it does produce a but of black smoke but it can be felt also. After a while I decided to lessen the amount of extra fuel but for more rev time. This produces no black smoke, a bit better acceleration just not as noticeable.
