04 zx12 runs horrible after rebuild

I just rebuilt my bike that ran great before spinning rod bearing 3 and 4. Get my motor back in and everything hooked up now it runs absolutely terrible. First thought was timing but that checked out good. Have to give the back half throttle to even crank and then it revs stupid slow and smokes because it's running so lean. Any ideas or help would be appreciated!

This, switch out the air sensor inside the buddy with the one below the airbox, as it's the same and see if it runs better. Made that mistake too...

So the one on the plate on top of the air box is air temp and the one under the airbox behind cylinder one is map sensor right?

Yes, but I don't think thats the issue, the plugs cant be mistakenly swapped..

I'd check that your TPS sensor plugs aren't swapped

I am still fighting with this thing I have since got it to idle somewhat but it doesn't want to run long at idle. I have checked my TPS and they are correct, put new plugs in it and made sure the coils were in the correct place, disconnected power commander, reset the computer and double checked everything I can think of. FI light is not on but I have noticed something strange the speedometer goes up as I rev the bike up (in neutral while sitting still) I'm at a complete loss and at 20 and in college I don't have the funds to take the bike to a dealership and I can't find anyone that's willing to figure it out that doesn't want to charge dealership prices. PLEASE HELP!

that is unburnt fuel something is out of sync
check that all vac hoses are fitted in correct positions
the map sensor and air temp sensor look similar and share same type of plug connector I believe ,check that you haven't mixed them up when stripping motor down ..for reference the sensor on left (looking forward) is air temp part number 21176-1097 and easy to check ,make sure earth wire is connected to the bracket
if everything is right in your opinion do a compression check that will tell if engine build is right
