the wideopen column is all leaner numbers though i only picked up about 3 hp doing the wide open area.

the ack pipe sure is nice looking but anyone that puts a pipe on a bike and it don't mess it up at all is leaving hp on the table. no one said that the muzzy ti pipes do not make power. yeah less backpressure but for the money they are great. just tune the thing.

btw i'm ecu tuned the density map is no ware close to what it was stock.
The Akra has better down tube geometry and cross over tubes. I'm sure its design was influenced by lessons learned from the Muzzy since it was probably the first system available. The Muzzy is a racer's pipe where time below 6k wasn't a consideration.

Perhaps this explains why I'm finding the muzzy rather enjoyable. Thanks for the background.

It's fine once you go -1 +3 gearing and play with the fueling too.

I've ran it with 120 link swb with enough gearing this exhaust system unfairly got a bad rap.

And after all that gearing, my bike is back to stock. With probably over 15k miles on this sytem if the company ever decided to get back in the game and produce more exhaust and they are reading this, please feel free and reach out to me.

With as much positive feedback the akra receives I was surprised to hear that you sold yours. If the akra is better I would have never sold it.

Even at $1000 bucks the muzzy's worth it. IMO, the muzzy to the zx12r is what the kerker is to the kz1000, made for each other.

Here is a shot from over the weekend. Over 70 miles to get there using stock gearing. Gravel, snow, ice, strong winds, and the worse, slow moving traffic. Few ride in these conditions. You are not going to be out there with an exhaust that doesn't cut it.

I still have an Akra Ti Evo on my 12r. I sold a spare system I had along with the bike (and a few others) it was earmarked for in order to purchase an RV7 kit and IO-360.

I'm glad to hear you still have a 12. If it's the one in the pictures still around here it is a very exceptional bike.

I tuned it out with my PC3R

Started out with a fresh set of plugs and a TB sync and tuned the TPS

Timing was where itís at..

Same here. Not sure if it was before or after this thread. I posted these things as I did them. For me it was gearing that brought it together.

While everyones here. Thank you. I got the tps deal from you guys to be specific, everyone that put the time into it and was able to pass it on. As I'm doing here. So.., if you have a muzzy and find it not cutting for you. Throw some gear on it.
