Stock or Billet basket for 01 Zx12. If you running with chatter rings or without them whatís the stack height. How many 2.0 to 1.6 to 1.4 are you running in ya bike need to know.

Mine ('00 A1) has stock steels/fibres, with chatter ring - only one in the A1 - stack height is in the middle per the range in manual (around the 57mm mark if I remember). MTC Billet basket, stock hub with drilled oil feed holes per KZScott's method, and the puller shaft has been ground on one edge for better oil feed too.

I still get a "shudder" when letting the clutch out that occurs around the 1,700 - 2000rpm range, more noticable when slowly taking off, but doesn't affect performance. It could be related to the chatter ring but not sure, not too worried anyway as once underway it doesn't affect it and I have a quick shifter as well. And this is with the 1287 build.

See don I only have the 2 in the back and for some reason the noise is unbearable. My gear have checked and there good so Iím believing the pressure plate is bad or add the other two rings into it.

Not sure why they do that chattering either, oh and I have heavy duty springs in as well, so I would have thought they may have eradicated the shudder as well?

Could you send me a pic of the clutches inside the billet basket so I can see how much space is left up top after the pressure plate is on

I'll have to dig around, think I may have taken a few pics when installing the clutch a couple of years ago.

Only other thing I can think of is if you have the pressure plate installed correctly? If it has not been aligned right with the markers as per the manual then it will affect operation - not saying you haven't done it correctly, just a possibility!

How's the clutch going? Got it sorted yet?

Can't find any pics of actual clutch stack height and pressure plate, short of taking the clutch cover off, but basically it looks stock height and fitment.

Did you check to see if the pressure plate is aligned with the markers as per the manual?

Don I left the shop yesterday, they informed that my clutches are slipping so it needs to be more throughly checked if something is wrong but they added the other two chattering rings to the basket and the shudder or chatter seems obsolete.

That's good!

Should be even better once the slipping is sorted, thanks for updating, it's always good to find out how problems are sorted - or not - for others to learn from.
