Talking Noob from Sweden saying -Hello!

Been checking and reading threads here for a couple of weeks now. Lot's of good info here if one just takes the time to scroll the pages...

Bought my zx12r a couple of weeks ago but because of the cold weather over here in Scandinavia couldn't bring her home until today. The ride from the shop to where I live was about 250 miles, it was a good get to know her ride. Its a stock 2000 zx12r and I don't plan on adding any aftermarket go faster stuff, the power and speed is plenty enough for me for now. This is my second bike, I also have a 1998 Yamaha V Max (A bike so stupid and overpowered for the chassis it has, then again, that's just what makes it so brilliant and fun)..

I'm gonna do some upgrades though, first the ZZR1400 mirrors (the stock mirros only show my shoulders and elbows), I'm also gonna look for a new set of aftermarket levers...

/Tom

Thumbs up

Hi Tom & welcome.
Yeah the bike is good enough to leave in standard trim so don't blame you on that one.
I've got ZX14 mirrors as well & love them. Different levers as well but think that's just a personal choice.
Good luck with it .

There's nothing wrong with a extra wheel. A1 Model year 2000

-No, I saw that 4 Sale add on Blocket, but this is not that bike. I bought my bike from Mc Kompaniet in Väring near Skövde. The bike is an import, back in 2010, from the UK.

-I am a member, though not active, of the Sporthoj forum, I have read some of the zx12r threads there. Ill make a post later on in that forum to.

....Another note about the bike. Took it to my garage and went over it more closely, I noticed that the throttle cable has seen better days, so a new one is on the way. Been looking at new levers to, problem is Im having a hard time making up my mind about what levers to buy, more specific, should I buy gold or black levers and should I buy the levers in "stock" lenght or "shortys"... Right now I feel shortys in black is the way to go....

I bought these a while ago: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Moto...814937597.html

Installed them without an issue and it even says Kawasaki along the lever, though they've changed the pictures so not sure if they still do. I went for the black with green endlevers. You can easily make them either short or long.

-Naah, I do know who the Ghostrider guy is (its a known "secret") but I have no interest in trying to copycat his way of riding a bike... Riding a bike fast at the track is one thing, but riding in the middle of rush hour traffic the way he (Ghostrider and others like him) do... I think its just dumb, but that said, I do enjoy watching fast motorbike riding videos from time to time, I specially like the one from the Isle of Man TT where Guy Marting is chasing Michael Dunlop
....
