I have a little problem that is going to become a lot worse in 2021!
For those of you that dont know the new Ultra Low emissions zone (ULEZ) came in to effect in April of this year meaning that in short older vehicles are now deemed to emissions dirty to enter central London.
In 2021 the ULEZ zone will be made bigger to include the North and South circular roads.... https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/che...-vehicle-35896
The ULEZ is in force 24 hours a day 365 days a week and has a daily charge of £12.50!
For Bikes this means a NOx level of 0.15 grams per kilometer or meet Euro 3 standards- Most bikes registered 2007 and after are OK - Its bikes registered prior to this.
In the UK on newer machines the emissions can be found printed on the V5 document (Owners document) this isn't that case on machines prior to this.
Transport for London will allow you to send them proof that your vehicle meets their standards if you can prove your vehicle is compliant by way of a certificate of conformity issued by the manufacture or by a test by an approved garage!
I've already contacted Kawasaki and they do not have the Nox levels for a 2002 A2 ZX12R - This would mean I would need to get my bike tested.
Before I put my bike back to standard and pay money for the test does anyone know the NOx levels for a ZX12R ? or have a certificate of conformity that they could share the emissions detail from?
Im assuming that they are all the same in standard form?
Lastly would the KLEEN AIR system on a 12R effect the NOx levels?
