Gear slip

my 2002 ZX12R pops out of gear at 8000 RPM I recently replaced the clutch plates and the basket could my stack height be off and that's what's causing it

First and cheapest thing to do is make sure the gear change lever where it mounts to the footpeg hanger is free to move easily, then make sure that the short link arm from the connecting pushrod is fitted slightly rearwards from straight down. This will make sure you get the best possible amount of gear selection when going up through the box. If this does not work the dogs on that gear may already be to rounded off.

For Tech Questions Bike Model letters and Country are more useful than saying the year, for UK owners anyway, as registration year is not always the year of manufacturer model.
