fell over now backfires help asap.

a few months ago I had been out rideing and was a nice day so I parked my bike outside behind my garage. someone tried to steal it and in the attempt knocked it over,it laid on its left side almost all night,i was so mad . anyway I got her upright let it sit for a hour or so and tried to start it.it turned over fine attempted to start but would backfire really bad. it kinda stoped the backfireing but was running rough.i though I would take it around my back street to see if the bad running would sort itself out. it did not. I had to cover her up and did not have the chance to work on it again for about 2months. yesterday i charged the battery.tried it same issue acted like she wanted to start but then would occasionaly backfire. i pulled the plugs they were wet{gas} cleaned plugs. replaced air filter checked all connections. same thing attemped to start then occasional backfire. this bike is all original has less than 10.000 miles it was around 40 to 45 degrees out when i tried to start it.
