replacing fairing

Well I had the fairing off to install some flushmounts and am having a hell of time getting it back on. The nuts that sit in the ram air snorkel keep popping out when I slide the fairing back on - when the don't fall out the holes for these don't come close to lining up.

Anyone have any tricks? Is there something obvious that I am doing wrong?

Thanks,

What year bike? Loosen the clamps that hold the ram air tubes to the airbox tubes. remove the ram air stuff and secure it to the fairing while its off the bike (Flipped upside down on a bed or couch works good) Once its all assembled then slide the whole Upper/ram air/headlight assy on to the gauge stay Go slow and keeping an eye that the upper lines up down below with the tabs on the rad and also if its 2000 up the black mud gaurd screwed to the lower triple needs to be on the inside of the upper. Hope this helps.

Now I'm rollin' in sweat, with a loaf of cold bread, and a taco in my jeans
