Guess what ? 12,000 miles now on this kits with MY DESIGN of Je pistons, which have longer pins that fill the width of the piston bosses ! OK downfall is the pin weighs a bit more, but the kits has now lasted, i blew the motor up the other month it had 55,000 on it most with kits, the crank suddenly gave way at 175mph on the back straight at Snetterton in Uk, it had spent the morning munching tuned gsxr1000's with slicks on while i had pirellis Sc1 and sc2 rears on, I took the engine apart only to find a seized, big end , no big end shells in one other and 2 good big ends, so i took my 998 kit off and stuck it on another motor, its now running strong.
