i have a 2000 ZX12R A1 with stock calipers and a brembo 19/20 mastercylinder...

All i can say is its amazing how much feel the bike now has.. bringing it to a stop with two fingers is so easy.. much more modulation in the feel of the lever too as well as feedback...

I rebuilt my calipers too after about 6 months of running the brembo mastercylinder and now it feels amazing!

I had HEL (braided brake line company) make me up a special set of lines for use with the M/S as the banjo mounting is under the m/s and not on the end like the stock bike so had them add a 45 degree banjo on there instead of the straight one that stock bikes need to stop the brake line from being routed incorrectly or kinking.

i also added goodridge speed bleed nipples... they make bleeding the system so much quicker as they have a one way valve in them to stop them drawing air back in.
I also run the system on dot 5.1 brake fluid and it gives a much better feel than dot 4... so definately look at getting that... it also out performs and outlives dot 4 and wont strip paint!

The brembo only requires the slight relocation of the speedo clocks.. i made some little plastic brackets in about 10 mins that move the speedo up about 10mm as the span adjuster hits it on full lock to the left.. but only when putting the steering lock on.

all in all i paid ÂŁ210 for the brembo unit and it was the best purchace i have ever made for the bike.. no more wondering if i will ever stop!

forgot to mention you will also need a brake pressure banjo bolt as the lever does not have a switch as standard.. but its only a case of soldering two wires.. easy peasy..

as for the fluid reservoir the one in the photo is a rear one as the store was without a front for two weeks so sent me that one.. it now has a larger one that is at least twice the capacity.. i still zip tie the reservoir to the cables and it has passed its MOT with no problems (mot is uk road safety test)
