HEy guys i have a question or maybe i am just polling on what you think about clutches. I am thinking of getting the muzzy stack(friction and steels). Now correct me if i am wrong all i need is the clutch fibers and steel. I do not need the hub since i have an 03' which already comes with the drilled hub.

What is a Muzzy "stack"?? Muzzy sells modified OEM parts and OEM clutches for the ZX12. It would be news to me that the 03s have the EDM'd bushing as well as the perforated hub from the factory.

I have also been thinking about experimenting with a barnett clutch.

Yeah, well think with someone else's bike.... not your own. Two words....... BARNETT SUCKS.

I had good luck with them in my 1000 but have yet to try them in my bike.

Define "good luck".... why dont you have the 1000 anymore? Could it be because the Barnett fibers sheered off and clogged your oil pickup? :roll:

Also can someone tell me the best place to find the cheapest clutch price(steels and frictions). Muzzy steels and fibers are 199 bucks and i am pretty sure part of that price is just the name.

$8 for fibers
$6 for steels
Your clutch will require at least 11 of each. Trust me... Muzzy aint making a whole lot on a $200 clutch fiber/steel pack.

Also i was at my local dealer last week and they told me EBC the brake makers make a clutch for the 12. Has anyone tried them just curious

Your local dealer sounds like an idiot. Anyone that recommends any clutch other than stock is a MAROONE. EBC sucks, but they suck further down the list. Only other clutch that sucks second to none over Barnett is Vesrah.

Only one thing to keep in mind for clutches..... OEM. :?
