i own a 2005 yamaha yzf600r
my friend is a tow truck driver and has picked up a theft recovered "i think" 2000 zx-12r
it was placed in his storage lot and never picked up, so after 90 days he filed the appropriate paperwork and is now the owner of a bike
i am not riding the fastest or the most well handling bike on earth but i dont want to get on something that does not handle at all
i also ride every day and enjoy the comfort of my 600r
i get about 50mpg
how will the 12r compare in comfort, handling, and fuel economy
i know it will have tons more power, thats not the worry
also, the seats are a little torn (need to be recovered) and the metal pc on the top of the gas tank around the gas cap is loose, but otherwise it looks like a very clean bike with all factory parts and about 9800 miles
what do you think this bike is worth? he wants 4000
is there any certain thing that i should be cautioned about or looking for or is there any inherit problems with that particular year ?
lastly, is there anything that can be done about those huge mirrors?
