If I had the money, the Akro would have been my first choice, but I saved some cash and went with a Titanium Stepped Hindle. On Ivan's dyno at Rockland County Cycle (a past ZX12R owner and highly reputable tuner) I got 177 hp with a PC3R, Bear stacks (thanks to one of Mr. Hill's group buys) and properly fitted K&N filters. Having read all the (sometimes heated) debates on this forum covering Akro vs. Hindle, I've concluded either pipe is within a few horsepower of the other on any given bike. And when you're dealing with 170+hp, this is a pretty insignificant value. If you work within your budget, either choice will be the right one.
