Hey everyone. I've been ghosting on and off over the past couple of years and finally broke down and bought my B1 two days ago! It is new (bought with one mile on the clock), and I am excited about it. I had put 80,000+ miles on my ZX-11, and looking to go big on this one as well. Other than proper break-in, any mods to do now to help it go the distance? I am getting braided lines, Ohlins fork internals, tank bra (to protect the paint from my cordura commuter suit) within the next week. Looking to get a hugger before I get a shock on it. Should I get a clutch basket? Any other thoughts? This bike will be straightened by GMD/Computrak then sweetspotted as well. Looking forward to reading these posts about a bike I also own!

chrisek - Welcome home!! You're right on track, considering the break-in as an important factor on this engine... You might check the archives for good info relative to this subject... You could also do worse than Blitz's "Heat Cycle" procedure for break-in... Many here endorse it!!
Other than that, my $.02 is to make the switch to full synthetic oil as early as practical... Possibly just after break-in (?).
She'll run a lot of smooth miles... Ahead of everything else!!! 8)
