Last year I had my stator rewired, new cabling, Jap MOSFET reg/rec with direct cabling to battery (as per Mosfet manufacturer recommendations to reduce weak points or possible leaks from OEM wiring to battery). All work done by professional bike auto electrician, works a treat so far. I have put up on stator threads what had been done at the time.
The bike had completely died causing the need to do the above. My fuel gauge prior to this was actually quite accurate! Since repairs it now shows a more rapid emptying on the gauge, which does not reflect actual fuel usage as the K's done are consistent with the amount of fuel I put in. I know that generally bike fuel gauges are not too accurate and it isn't a huge problem, but when you have something that initially works well then doesn't, you tend to be bugged by it!
Any ideas? Could the new direct cabling from reg/rec to battery cause anything?...Ninjayorkie I'm looking at you!!...
