I only use schafers 9000 oil in my truck. So I'm sold on synthetic oil! But I've heard it will "find it's way out" of the bike causing a leak!!! I was also wondering what weight should I use?

Last year I had my clutch pads replaced and It was at the end of the season. So I did not do a oil changed since. From what I understand this oil change is vital considering the old clutch peaces could still be in the oil. That being said I plan on doing this this week! I have plenty of Schafers if it will work! Thanks!

I've got 5W 30 would that work out? If so how many quarts do I need? Sorry about the questions but my bike guy has gone out of business and it's beyond time that I learn how to take care of my prize posession! LOL! thanks for your patients with my simple questions.

I've heard nothing but great things about this oil and on their site in the racing section they mention that the 5 W 30 was used in motorcycles. That's what made me ask the question. I think I'm just trying to be a cheap skate and use the rest of what I have left from the last case I bought for the truck. I will look into an full synth bike oil and go with that! Thanks!

No offense taken at all!!! I was saying I was being "cheap". I'm trying to find out if I can get away with just buying one case of oil for the truck and the bike!

However I think I'm going to have to really look into a good full synth that is readily available locally for the bike. I love this machine so much I don't want to cut corners for convience or to save a few bucks.

Like I told my wife I will die with this bike in my name!!! LOL!
I really apprecieate the advice and input here!! Thanks !!
