Perth police (Australia), have bought 15 new noise testing devices, targeting and fining motorcyclists $100AU for exceeding 92 dB. They pull you over, get you to rev your bike to between 3000 and 4000 rpm. They take the reading a set distance from the exhaust. I have already been tested and failed. My bike was at 104 dB at idle.LOL
This issue started with the police after those "BLOODY" Harley riders started to make there V twin puss boxes as loud as possible.
Us on sport bikes, who out number those others, bear the brunt of this operation.
I can see the issue, if you have ever followed a "BLOODY"Harley, you can barely hear yourself think!
I still fume that this has been bought down on us!!!!!
