Time to get the Pacific Northwest Rally for 2005 in the planning stages. Due to high weekend traffic in the mountains with rubber necking tourists galore, I am going to make this a through the week rally. That will give us much better riding conditions. Was thinking about August 7th for check in, with rides the 8th through the 11th, checking out the 12th. That will also put us in midweek discount rates for lodging.
Rides:
1- Loop around Mt St Helens, taking in both Windy Ridge and Johnston Ridge roads.
2- Up past Mt St Helens to Mt Rainier, up to Sunrise and then Paradise loop.
3- To the coast
4- South to Mt Hood and beyond.....
I would like to be able to find a place to stay in the Columbia River Gorge.
So.......I need to get a rough idea of how many are interested in attending and what kind of lodging accommodations ($-$$$-?) are desired.
Is the date OK? Very seldom do we get any rain through that stretch, but it can get over 100 degrees!
Speak up!!!
